In Pursuance to Anti-Porn Law, The Government Introduced Public Dress Code

As we know, Indonesia is a developing country, with a dense population. A large number of people live there. Also, there are many cultures found in Indonesia, especially in clothing. Many types of clothes worn in Indonesia. In addition to the result of diverse cultures, various types of clothes worn by people in Indonesia also caused by globalization. People always obtain informations about modern clothes from all over the world, so they want to wear them too.

There is positive impact from this case, such as for clothes designer. They can develop their clothes design, so it won't be an ancient clothing style. But, the negative impacts are worse. Indonesia known as a polite country, especially in clothing. This is very different from modern clothes style. Some of these clothes often showing the parts of our body, such as thin and transparent dress. So, I think the government need to apply the public dress code.

Public dress code can reduce the sexual harassment level. Nowadays, we know that the number of sexual harassment happened in Indonesia are increasing everyday, because of the way we wear our clothes. If government introduced public dress code, it can prevent the occurrence of sexual harassment among the public. Women in Indonesia will have awareness in wearing clothes, so it will reduce the number of crime.

Public dress code can also improve civility. People from all over the world will know us by the politeness in dressing. I think if the goverment applied public dress code, Indonesia will become a famous country that upholds the decency in dressing. They will give us a sense of sympathy. So, this is a right policy which should be applied by the government.
